Maximilian Giehr – Manager

"International experience, contact with customers from day one and actual responsibility. I can be a part of everything!"

These vagabond’s shoes…

England, the Netherlands and Canada – even while attending school and university, I had visited many different countries and cultures. I enjoy experiencing other cultures and meeting new people. This aspect is of course also very important to me in my professional life. And what better place to get this than in an internationally active consulting firm? After several internships for different strategy consulting firms, it became clear to me that Stern Stewart was the place for me to be. A "boutique" where I can personally make a difference and at the same time find the kind of internationality that I am looking for! During the first two years I was not only traveling to visit customers across Europe, I was also deployed to one of our customers’ local subsidiaries in Boston, and I also worked at our New York office for three months.

Using the flexibility and really making a difference!

Every employee can get involved in diverse areas, such as university marketing, human resource development, or, as in my case, business development. Even before my stay in New York, I developed ideas and implemented them; the highlight by far was the stay in America, of course. I closely worked with the American partner to further develop our network in the U.S. This was a huge sign of confidence and the perfect opportunity to help mold our company's further development myself.
